10am to 3pm, Croft Field, RG17 0HY

Bring your taste for adventure and have a go at juicing apples, milling your own flour, churning butter (a great way to use up leftover cream), green woodworking and wool spinning.  Meet the experts keeping these heritage skills alive and some very cute (and fast) ferrets.

There will also be a chance to make a harvest festival wheatsheaf loaf, have a go at Morris Dancing and apple juicing and find out all about bee-keeping and venison and local trout farming. Bring your apples and pears to juice or be identified by apple experts.

On top of all this there will be ferret racing, street food and shopping directly from local producers of a wide selection of wonderful local food, produce gifts, bread, honey, cheese, pies, meat, produce, cakes and lots more. Plus all the perks of the regular monthly markets including cooking demonstrations, 50p off hot drinks if you bring your own reusable coffee cup, foil recycling, plant/product/kitchen equipment swap.

Visitors will find more than 30 local stalls offering bread, honey, pies, cheese, eggs, meat, oil, cakes, produce, preserves, wooden chopping boards, eco friendly soaps, candles, jewellery, gifts and lots more. It is a great opportunity to meet local producers and shop sustainably. HEAT will have their usual information stand where you can ask all  questions.
