Cauliflower Popcorn

Ingredients (makes approx. 40 florets)

350gms cauliflower (half a medium sized cauliflower)
5 tblspns plain flour
8 tblspns water
seasoning: salt, pepper, paprika, chilli flakes, nutritional yeast flakes, onion/garlic powder
100gm breadcrumbs
1 tbsn sesame seeds (optional)


Cut cauliflower into small florets (2-3cms wide – so they cook through quickly)
Mix flour and water in large bowl.
Pour all florets into the bowl and stir until all covered with batter.
Mix with breadcrumbs with spices paprika, onion powder, salt etc
Roll battered florets in breadcrumbs and cover well.
Pre-heat air fryer/oven to 190° and place florets in basket.
Cook for approx.8 minutes. Baste with oil (using pastry brush – or just drizzle oil) and continue to cook for another 8 minutes or until golden on the outside and cooked inside.
